Established in 2008, Summerwood Estates North Property Owners' Association is a Florida non-profit Homeowners Association governed by Florida Statues Title XL Chapter 720. As a self-managed entity, the annual HOA dues are set to $400 a year but are due $100 per quarter.
From Summerwood, the Elementary, Middle, and High School options include public schools in Madison
and charter schools like Madison Arts Academy and James Madison Highschool.
Numerous private schools are located in Madison, Aucilla, and Valdosta Ga.
Madison's four year North Florida College is an asset
for all ages. Summerwood is equipped with the highest speed internet available
at one gigabyte. Therefore, online and homeschool options are easily accessible
including Florida Virtual School.
North Florida's mild year a round climate is great for outdoor activities. Cherry
Lake, a 600 acre recreational lake is only 3 miles
away. Here you can launch your boat or swim at the county park. This lake is
home to several popular fishing tournaments and is also enjoyed for swimming,
sailing and skiing. The Withlacoochee, Suwannee and Aucilla Rivers, popular
fishing and recreational spots, are all in Madison County.
Historic Thomasville Georgia, approximately one hour away sports many great restaurants, historic sites and the annual Rose Festival. Closer to home, Valdosta Georgia has just about every type of shopping available and it is within a twenty minute drive.

Summerwood Estates North is managed by an elected Board of Directors (as per Part 1 of Chapter 720 of the Florida Statues).
The Board consists of non-paid volunteers including a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and an
Architechural Committee--that ensures our community is kept beautiful while protecting our home values. The term is one year, and voting for new officers takes place at the annual meeting each year. The Board meets quarterly and anyone is invited. For more information on the BOD and its specific duties, please refer to page 12 of our Protective Covenants and pages 4-5 of the Bylaws.
